A significant milestone was reached on 23 October 2015 when Juris Partnership was formally announced as the preferred proponent by the ACT Government for the $150m ACT Law Courts. Umow Lai are collaborating with Juris Partnership on the project and were pleased to receive the news.

“Naturally, we were delighted to hear the news which came after almost 12 months involvement with the Public Private Partnership (PPP),” says Sean Wooster, Associate Director and Principal ICT Consultant with Umow Lai.

“What’s exciting is that this is the ACT’s first PPP,” Sean notes.

“As the preferred proponent, we have been selected to enter into final negotiations with the Territory and we expect a contract to be awarded by the end of the year.”

Umow Lai will be providing consultancy services for Communications Infrastructure, Security, Audio Visual and IT Systems to ensure state-of-the-art facilities are delivered to the Territory.

The Design and Construct component is being led by Laing O’Rourke Australia, who have selected Umow Lai, their affiliate Resonate Acoustics and Lyons Architects as part of their winning team.
