RACV Cape Schanck Resort upgrade includes the latest in innovation and technology

The Mornington Peninsula, a popular tourist destination an hour’s drive from Melbourne, is well known for its galleries, spas and cafes, gourmet produce and boutique wineries. Soon there will be another attraction to add to the list: an integrated hotel resort offering an extensive range of facilities.

Situated in idyllic surroundings at the southern-most tip of the Mornington Peninsula, the RACV Cape Schanck Resort is undergoing a major upgrade, adding a new building to replace the existing clubhouse. Construction is underway on the new facility, with the existing clubhouse to remain operational until the completion of the new building.

Umow Lai is providing Information & Communications Technology (ICT), Audio Visual and Security consultancy services “to ensure that the staff and visitors to the new facility have access to the latest technology and audio visual equipment providing a safe, comfortable and modern environment,” explains Simon Umow, an experienced ICT specialist who is heading the firm’s team on the project.

The new facility will include 120 accommodation rooms, lounge, restaurant, café, pool, gym, day spa, function rooms and conference rooms. The function rooms will have seating for up to 550 guests, feature natural light, great views and will be flexible in their operational use, allowing for various types of functions and events to be held in the space, ranging from corporate conferences to private.

The new functions spaces and facilities will be designed and provided with the highest level of innovative, progressive audio visual and communications technology. It will also be adaptable to any future needs as befits the dynamic nature of technological development.

Umow Lai is working in collaboration with Wood/Marsh Pty Ltd Architecture. The project is expected for completion in mid – 2018.
