The $30 million Global Change Institute is located at the University of Queensland’s St Lucia Campus.

The University of Queensland’s Global Change Institute will provide a new centre for leadership in sustainable technologies and research into the areas of broader global change.

The building is registered for Green Star Education v1 and ‘Living Building Challenge’ certification, includes the central control facility of UQ’s 1.22MW solar array, Australia’s largest solar flat-panel photo-voltaic grid electricity generator.

Umow Lai undertook the PREM Design Review and their Sustainable Environment specialists provided Independent Commissioning Agent services. The project is due for completion in early 2013.
