The new 21st century facility for Victoria Police was completed in January 2010 on time and on budget.
Whilst the facility has not targeted a Green Star rating, it comprehensively embraces Green Star principles with openable windows, zoned DX air-conditioning and dedicated supply air fan/duct to each Fan Coil Unit and BMS time-clocked and local control regimes. In addition, a significant rainwater harvesting system has been incorporated into the building for toilet flushing, vehicle washing and for irrigation purposes and Solar panels pretreat domestic hot water services.
The integrated security and AV systems represent a quantum leap in crime fighting technology for Victoria Police with local problem areas under CCTV surveillance.
Umow Lai provided Mechanical, Electrical, Fire, AV, Security and Construction Administration services.
